The county Solid Waste Bureau offers free document shredding to residents on the first Saturday of the month from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Residents can bring materials for shredding to the Earth Products Recycling Yard at the Solid Waste Bureau, 4300 29th St. S. A county employee will process the materials while you observe. 100 percent of shredded material is recycled.
Only residents can use the free paper shredding. Businesses not allowed.
Limit of 2 boxes (no bigger than 18x11x10) or 2 paper bags per customer.
The shredder accepts any paper (staples and paper clips are OK), including checks and check books. Magazines, catalogs, credit cards, three-ring binders or phonebooks are not acceptable.
