Survey Period Extended for Special Needs Feedback
APS is seeking parents of students with an Intervention Assistance Team plan (IAT), Section 504 plan or an Individualized Education Program (IEP) to complete a short survey. If your child has an active identification during 2010-2011 and/or 2011-2012, and you have not already done so, please take the time to complete the questionnaire. Feedback is vital to help us improve student support services across the district. If you have completed the survey, thank you and please disregard the rest of this message.
This year Arlington Public Schools hired an independent consulting firm, Public Consulting Group, Inc. (PCG), to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the services provided to students with special needs. This includes students who have an Intervention Assistance Team plan (IATs), Section 504 plan or an Individualized Education Program (IEPs).
As part of this effort to improve student learning, we are asking parents of students with any of the three types of plans listed above to fill out a short, anonymous survey about their experiences. Parents should fill out the surveys if their child had an active identification during 2010-11 and/or 2011-12. The surveys are available in both English and Spanish and will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Parents with more than one identified child will be asked to complete a separate survey for each child.
The surveys will now be available online at the link below until FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2012.
