Update (4:53 p.m.): The body found Monday afternoon in the area of Gravelly Point Park in Arlington is that of 83-year-old Victoria Kong, who was reported missing Friday, the U.S. Park Police have confirmed.

"The exact location was north of the airport, south of Gravelly Point off the George Washington Parkway approximately 30 feet from the bike trail in a wooded area," spokesman Paul Brooks said in an email.

The body was found about 30 feet off a bike path, spokesman Paul Brooks told Patch. The park is located along George Washington Memorial Parkway, just north of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

Investigators have not yet identified the woman, Brooks said. He was not sure who found her. The U.S. Park Police were called at about 2 p.m. Monday.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department on Sunday asked for the public's help in finding 83-year-old Victoria Kong. Kong was last seen walking north toward Gravelly Point at about 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Brooks did not yet know if it was Kong who was found.

"We don't know," he said. "We don't speculate."

The Arlington County Fire Department was briefly on the scene after being called out to help an unresponsive person, fire Capt. Gregg Karl told Patch. The person was determined to be dead on arrival.

Initial reports that the body was found floating in the water were incorrect, Brooks said.
