Police are advising motorists to avoid the 800 block of South Glebe Road following a car crash Thursday.

Arlington County police are advising motorists to avoid South Glebe Road in the area of 7th Street South due to a downed utility pole that is expected to block traffic through at least 8 p.m. Thursday.

A green Honda sedan struck a utility pole this afternoon. No injuries were reported, according to an email Patch received from police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck.

South Glebe is down to one lane in each direction.

Dominion Virginia Power is on the scene, police said.
