Saffron Studios, which offers dance lessons, has expanded its offerings to include "open play" sessions for children and work areas for parents.

“Moms can come to get things done or relax while the kids are downstairs,” said Tracy Yeager, who was the assistant to the director during the summer months at Saffron Studios.

The program called “Sprout at Saffron” started this month and is for children who are up to 6 years old. The two-story space now includes dance, yoga, and barre fitness classes. Parents who drop off children at Sprout also can use an office on the second floor of the studio with computer access.

Open play sessions are $35 for a drop in session, either from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. or from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 a.m.. For more information, visit their website.
