Need ideas to get your weekend going? Look no further.

 

1. FotoWeek DC

Where/When: 1800 L Street, NW Washington, DC serves as the hub, but galleries throughout D.C. are hosting events. 

Why Go: Venues throughout D.C. will feature original photography and lectures. The celebration highlights local, national, and international photography.

Pricing: A free festival pass is available for the three-week exhibit.

2. Esprit de Noel

Where/When: Georgetown Visitation, 1524 35th St NW, Washington, D.C., Friday, Nov. 4, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 5, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Get into the holiday spirit early and check a few gifts off your list at this annual Christmas bazaar.

Pricing: FREE

3. Kaydee Puppets

Where/When: St John's Episcopal Church Georgetown Parish, 3240 O St NW, Washington, D.C. Saturday, Nov. 5, 10:30 a.m.

Why Go: Georgetown Moms and Kaydee Puppets celebrate Georgetown Family Saturday with puppet shows best suited for kids zero to six-years-old. Proceeds benefit the DC Public Library Foundation Georgetown Recovery Fund.

Pricing: $25 per family

4. First Saturday Civitan Market

Where/When: Washington-Lee High School, Saturday 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. (Parking deck behind the school.)

Why Go: Come browse over 100+ vendors, rain or shine. Part of the proceeds from the sale goes to support programs for children and adults with special needs.

Pricing: Admission is free

5. Skate at Pentagon Row

Where/When: The ice rink at Pentagon Row, until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturdays and until 10 p.m. most weekdays, check the hours here

Why Go: Stop by the outdoor ice rink at Pentagon Row for a fun outdoor skating experience. 

Pricing: Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for children under 12 and seniors over 55. Skate rentals are $3, both figure skates and hockey skates are available.
