This summer\, we are offering special week-long inten sive workshops for high school students who are writing personal essay s for scholarships and/or college admissions. HOW WE WORK: * Workshop s meet daily Monday-Friday for 3-hour afternoon or evening sessions. * Each workshop enrolls a maximum of 6 participants and is led by a pub lished writer and experienced high school or college writing teacher. * Students should bring any essay prompts they have been given\, and/or we can provide prompts that would suit most applications. * Through a fun\, collaborative workshop format\, we will help students: - brainstor m\, - plan\, - draft\, - revise\, and - polish their essays. * Students will leave with pieces they are proud of and excited to submit! Stude nts will also be invited to submit their work to our online magazine and to read at Barnes and Noble in September.
