DESCRIPTION:Writopia Lab (www.WritopiaLab.org) is an award-winning non-pr
 ofit   organization that holds creative writing workshops for kids and t
 eens   ages 8-18. This summer\, we are offering special week-long  inten
 sive workshops for  high school students who are writing personal  essay
 s for scholarships  and/or college admissions.   HOW WE WORK: * Workshop
 s meet daily Monday-Friday for 3-hour afternoon or evening sessions.   *
  Each workshop enrolls a maximum of 6 participants and is led by a   pub
 lished writer and experienced high school or college writing teacher. * 
 Students should bring any essay prompts they have been given\, and/or   
 we can provide prompts that would suit most applications.   * Through a 
 fun\, collaborative workshop format\, we will help students: - brainstor
 m\, - plan\, - draft\, - revise\, and - polish their essays. * Students 
 will leave with pieces they are proud of and excited to submit!    Stude
 nts will also be invited to submit their work to our online magazine and
