Party Like It's 1982, Beer Tasting in Crystal City, 'I Do! I Do!' and More

Five things in and around Arlington for Thursday.

Party Like It's 1982: The Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization is hosting a free movie and music night at the new Penrose Square. The 1980s tribute band Cover Up will start playing at 7 p.m., which will be followed by a free screening of "E.T." at 8:30 p.m. Area restaurants are joining in with the celebration — Taqueria Poblano will give a 10-percent discount to anyone who mentions "Third Thursday" to their waiter, for instance. More info here.

Local Beer Tasting in Crystal City: It's DC Beer Week across the river, but the Crystal City Wine Shop isn't letting a little thing like geography stop it from joining in on the fun. The shop, 401 12th St. S., is holding a local beer tasting from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

'I Do! I Do!' The musical "I Do! I Do!" is is winding up its run at Gunston Arts Center, 2700 S. Lang St. The production, by American Century Theater, shows at 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and wraps up Saturday with shows at 2:30 and 8 p.m.
