Arlington Rotary This Week, Thursday, 24 Apr - Scholarship fundraiser banquet with keynote speaker Dave Foster

Arlington Rotary is holding a fundraiser to benefit the Arlington Rotary Education Foundation (AREF) annual scholarships and stipends for graduating Arlington High School Seniors.  The event will be Thursday, 24 April from 6:30-9:00 pm at China Garden Restaurant, 1100 Wilson Boulevard in Rosslyn.  The cost for the banquet is $50 per person or $95 per couple (cash or check made out to AREF).  The price does not include wine or drinks.  The food will be a selection of 11 different dishes served family style.  A cash bar is available. Other events for the evening include a silent auction, information on the scholarship program, and a keynote speech from Dave Foster, former chair of the Arlington County School Board, and past president of the Virginia Board of Education. There will be NO regular lunch meeting this week as the fundraiser will take the place of our regular meeting.
