Capitol City Brewing Company Introduces New Autumnal Food & Beer Selections

Arlington, VA – Capitol City Brewing Company is celebrating the crisp, autumn season by brewing up some fun additions to the menu. The local brewpub’s Shirlington Village location is introducing a couple hearty, homemade ravioli entrees and two savory desserts in addition to original handcrafted seasonal beers.

Capitol City’s signature Pumpkin Ravioli includes a delicious pumpkin puree and ricotta cheese mixture in a homemade ravioli pasta and served with a white wine almond butter sauce topped with fresh Parmesan cheese. The Portobello Mushroom and Spinach Ravioli features homemade ravioli pasta filled with a tasty combination of Portobello, spinach, ricotta and Parmesan cheese served with a white wine almond butter sauce.

The Pecan and Pumpkin Pies are made in house and topped with ice cream and whipped cream. The rich pecan pie is teeming with gooey filling mixed with an abundance of pecans and baked in a hand pressed perfectly flaky crust for a deep, nutty flavor and the sweet pumpkin pie is filled with aromatic spices including nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon and ginger.

The innovative Wild Weasel's Revenge beer is a copper hued Belgian IPA bursting with citrus, stone fruit, and floral aromas as well as a slight spiciness from the Westmalle Yeast strain. This IPA drinks exceptionally well with a dry finish and nearly undetectable 6.9% ABV.  

ESB (Extra Special Bitter) is an English styled beer brewed with pale and crystal malts, along with a small quantity of chocolate malt to create a beautiful pale-copper hue with just a touch of roasted flavor. Moderately hopped with Fuggles, this beer is very drinkable with a 5.1% ABV.
