July 4th SoberRide Available to NOVA Residents

If you plan on celebrating Independence Day with a bang, make sure you get home safely using SoberRide!  As a sponsor of the Washington Regional Alcohol Program (WRAP) SoberRide initiative, AT&T is proud to provide free taxi rides (up to $30) to anyone 21+ in the greater Washington, DC area that may have had one too many red, white and blue cocktails.

AT&T customers can dial “WRAP” (9727) to get a safe, free ride home, while others can dial 800-200-8294 (TAXI). The program will be in effect beginning 10:00 p.m. Thursday (7/4) and continue until 4:00 a.m. Friday morning (7/5).

WRAP's SoberRide provides greater Washington, DC residents a safe way home on high-risk holidays, including the December/January holiday season, St. Patrick’s Day, Independence Day and Halloween. Last 4th of July, a total of 215 Washington-area residents took advantage of the program, preventing a would-be drunk driver from hitting the road every 2 minutes.
