Learn, network, and take action on some of the most challenging environmental problems alongside other young leaders this summer!
If you’ve been looking for some practical experience working on local, regional or global environmental challenges, you can’t miss this summer’s third annual Earth 2100 Conference!
Our Task Inc., George Mason University, MOM’s Organic Market, Northern Virginia Community College, and Arlington Independent Media are co-hosting the third annual Earth 2100 Conference on July 26-27, 2014, in Dewberry Hall on George Mason University’s Fairfax campus. For more info, view this short video on the 2013 conference.
Participants will learn about the environmental challenges Earth faces, network with young environmental leaders and hear about their accomplishments, and prepare to mobilize to spread the message worldwide! Participants will also have a chance to interact with representatives from major environmental organizations like the Natural Resources Defense Council, US Green Building Council, Environmental Protection Agency, Worldwatch Institute, and other national environmental groups!
“Last year’s conference was inspiring and impactful [sic] for me, and I can’t wait to participate in the 2014 Earth 2100 Conference this July! The two-day conference is a wonderful, enriching experience, and the community that is built and the human connections that are developed are extremely valuable. This is an awesome conference that should not be missed!” -Julia Schaefer Gomez, 2013 Earth 2100 Conference participant
This conference will empower you with the connections and the information you need to make a real impact on your local, regional, and global communities. You will be connected with successful organizations, such as Chesapeake Climate Action Network, Environment Virginia, Going Green Today and National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, who will work with you to help you accomplish goals you set at the conference!
Are you ready to get started?! Then set aside ONE weekend this summer to take action! We will see you there!
We are also seeking collaborating organizations! Please reach out with any interest in getting involved in any capacity.
