Joni Mitchell would be proud: On Alexandria's King Street, they're paving over parking spaces to put in bike lanes.

Paradise? Not for the folks who will miss the 27 on-street parking spaces. But it's expected to provide increased safety for pedestrians and cyclists on the busy stretch.
