'A Place at the Table' Screening to Benefit Arlington's Homeless, Hungry

In the mood for pizza and a movie?

The First Presbyterian Church at 601 N. Vermont St. in Arlington is hosting a screening of the documentary "A Place at the Table," which stars Jeff Bridges and examines hunger in America.

The event is 7 to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, at the church. The screening is free but a $5 donation is requested. Your donation covers the movie, pizza, a drink and cookie.

The screening will benefit the Arlington Street People's Assistance Network, or A-SPAN, and the Arlington Food Assistance Center, or AFAC, according to a news release.

The program is sponsored by the Arlington Greens.
