A benefit for the Arlington Food Assistance Center on Wednesday night pitted fire chiefs against local chefs in a timed live cooking contest. The chefs won two of the three categories, and each winning team received a golden eggplant trophy.

Charles Meng, the food pantry's executive director, said he hopes to continue the event every year.
