Dusting of Snow Likely in Arlington by Friday Morning

Accumulation up to an inch possible.

Forecasters with the National Weather Service are predicting snow will start falling after midnight with accumulation up to an inch possible across Arlington.

It's a huge change from Wednesday, when the high temperature at Dulles International Airport was 72 degrees.

Thursday night’s low will be around 31 degrees and high temperatures Friday will likely not rise above 35 degrees.

Because this snow is driven by a so-called clipper system, it is very unlikely our area will get more than a dusting.

Still, the Virginia Department of Transportation plans to treat highways and state roads in the region tonight.

The National Weather Service also predicts light snowfall accumulation is possible across the area Saturday night through Sunday.
