Strawberry: 'I knew how to hit a fastball, but I didn’t know how to live life.'
Baseball legend spoke at the Church at Clarendon on Sunday.
Baseball legend Darryl Strawberry spoke at the Church at Clarendon on Sunday about his struggles with addiction and how his faith helped him recover.
“Old Darryl had to die to experience the power of Christ,” Strawberry said, according to Clarendon Patch.
Strawberry's career spanned 17 years and he played for the Mets, Dodger, Giants and Yankees. He also was charged numerous times with cocaine possession and other crimes.
