UrbanArias 2012 Festival Season

UrbanArias' upcoming festival features two productions: a World Premiere, Positions 1956, based on sex manuals and other "found" material from the 50s -- very funny, and poignant. Also, a double bill of Before Breakfast, a beautiful and tragic 40-minute piece and The Filthy Habit. UrbanArias is devoted exclusively to producing short, contemporary opera -- nothing longer than 90 minutes, and only operas written within the last 40 years.  This is the perfect opportunity for the arts enthusiast, or the "Opera-Curious" to get their feet wet - UrbanArias produces operas with relevance to our modern lives, in English, and with world-class singers.
