App Developers: American Canoe Association is Accepting Proposals

The American Canoe Association is accepting proposals to develop a safe-paddling app.

The American Canoe Association, based in Fredericksburg, is accepting proposals from individuals, organizations and businesses to develop and produce a safe paddling mobile application.

"As part of our leadership role in boating safety, the ACA has obtained funding through the U.S. Coast Guard to develop and launch a free, user-friendly safe paddling application for the iPhone and Android operating systems," the national nonprofit said.

Proposals must be received by 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14.

The American Canoe Association is a member based nonprofit providing education related to all aspects of paddling; stewardship support to help protect paddling environments; and sanctioning of programs and events to promote paddle sport competition and recreation.
