Coming Soon to Arlington: Tea House, Trade Roots

Small businesses opening soon in Arlington.

A snapshot of a few new businesses coming soon to Arlington.

HOUSE OF STEEP

The House of Steep, which will be a tea specialty store at 3800 Lee Highway, will be opening in the next few weeks, according to owner Lyndsey DePalma. DePalma is currently going through the final steps of the permitting process, and furniture will be delivered this week. In addition to offering tea, the shop will “promote relaxation and healing through therapeutic teas and herbal foot baths,” according to its Facebook Page. Look for more information from Patch about the shop soon.

TRADE ROOTS

The space that used to house the Arax Café will soon be “Trade Roots.” A sign at the location at 5852 Washington Blvd. indicated that Trade Roots will be a fair-trade store with “collectibles from around the world.” It's not clear when the store will be open. Stay tuned to Patch for more information.

TRI 360

Tri 360, a store which promises to bring all that a triathlete would need to one place, plans to open in early September. .

I agree. Can we please have the retail infrastructure a suburb deserves? Not more New Urbanism.

I'm happy to hear the Tea room is coming. I hope they serve afternoon tea. I still miss the British Connection that closed in Old Town a few years back.
