Crystal Park Sport&Health Reopens With New Look

Renovation of health club, built in 1987, features new walls, floors, equipment and other amenities.

Crystal Park Sport&Health recently reopened following a multi-million dollar renovation of its club at 2231 Crystal Drive, the company has announced.

Alexandria-based Vibe Design worked with the fitness club to replace old walls with glass to allow more natural lighting and to install earth-toned tile floors.

The club, originally built in 1987, features more than 50 pieces of new cardio equipment outfitted with personal viewing screens. Through renovations, the facility now also features a cardio theater with a high-definition movie screen, surround sound and eight pieces of cardio equipment, according to a news release.

The list of new amenities also includes a mind/body studio for pilates and yoga and a virtual cycling studio equipped with three flat screens and Keiser heart rate monitor bikes, the release states.

The club's 25-yard, five-lane pool has been fully refinished and retiled, and the locker rooms have been redesigned with quartz vanity tops and ceramic tile flooring.
