Juicy Couture Store Closing at Pentagon City

Look for retailer to close its doors by end of June, according to Pentagon City employee.

The national retailer probably best known for their expensive velour and terry cloth track suits — Juicy Couture — is closing its Pentagon City location likely by late June, according to an employee at the store.

The move follows the announcement that the Juicy Couture stores were sold to Authentic Brands Group, a licensing company that is closing many of the stores across the country.

Not to worry, you'll still be able to get your Juicy fix. Authentic Brands Group inked a deal with Kohl's department store to carry Juicy Couture, beginning in the fall (see the Juicy fall collection), according to several business reports, including this one by Motley Fool.

There are several Kohl's stores in Northern Virginia, including one in Kingstowne and others in Burke, Fair Lakes, Herndon and Sterling.

Making way for Kate Spade Saturday?
The Juicy Couture store in Georgetown is closing to make way for the Kate Spade store, already in Georgetown; after Kate Spade relocates to the former Juicy Couture location, it will open Kate Spade Saturday in its old location. Kate Spade Saturday caters to a more casual, younger demographic.

No word on whether Pentagon City will also get a Kate Spade Saturday. The mall currently has a Kate Spade store.
