Public Art Unveiling Set for Thursday in Rosslyn

Artwork will be the largest photographic temporary public art installation in the region.

Come celebrate a public art masterpiece Thursday on your lunch break.

From noon to 12:30 p.m., officials will gather at Central Place, 1201 Wilson Blvd. in Rosslyn to unveil public art commissioned by Rosslyn BID.

Arlington County Board Chair Jay Fisette will be joined by Rosslyn BID President Mary-Claire Burick and Andy VanHorn of JBG Companies to celebrate the work of Frank Hallam Day, a fine art photographer commissioned to shoot "The Rosslyn Series."

Day explored Rosslyn’s streets and captured beauty in the most unexpected places. As Central Place undergoes transformation, so do all engaged by the photographic installation that graces the south wall of one of the site’s original buildings.

Day’s work is found in numerous museums and private collections in the United States and abroad. He is a winner of the prestigious Leica Oskar Barnack Prize and the Bader Prize. Sponsored by The Rosslyn BID in partnership with The JBG Companies.
