RedRocks Pizza Now Open on Columbia Pike

Chef from restaurant's Old Town Alexandria location moving to new Arlington spot.

RedRocks Neopolitan Bistro opened its new Arlington location this weekend — and brought a good bit of talent with it.

The chef at RedRocks Old Town in Alexandria is moving over to the restaurant’s new location in Arlington's Penrose Square area, just east of Walter Reed Drive on Columbia Pike.

The new Columbia Pike restaurant is under the supervision of Pizzaiolo Chief Adrian “Angel” Mendoza, who also worked at RedRocks Neapolitan Bistro in Old Town the last three years. He has also worked at 2 Amys in Washington.

Genevieve Ahrens will manage the Arlington location’s bar. She has produced signature cocktails for several restaurants in Virginia including Hank's Oyster Bar, Columbia Firehouse and Arlington's Tallula and EatBar.

The new RedRocks restaurant on Columbia Pike was designed by architect Paul Beckmann of Beckmann Architects, which is based in Old Town Alexandria. His latest restaurant projects include Virtue Feed & Grain and Society Fair.
