Boston Marathon Tragedy Touches Arlington Businesses, Institutions

Eighty-two marathon runners were from Arlington.

Arlington businesses and institutions took to social media to share their thoughts and concerns for those affected by the explosions at the Boston Marathon on Monday.

Eighty-two marathon runners were from Arlington. It was unclear Monday night if any were among those directly affected by the blasts.

A list of the Arlington participants and the finish times for those who were able — the run stopped when the explosions happened — is attached as a PDF to the right. The list was compiled from information on the Boston Athletic Association website.

At least three people were killed and more than 100 injured, the Boston Globe reported.
