Overturned Car on N. Glebe Road, Southbound Glebe Shutdown
SUV hits pole and flips on N. Glebe Road, southbound Glebe Road will be shut down until about 7 p.m. for cleanup and investigation.
Updated 4:55 p.m.: According to the Arlington Alert service: "Due to an accident on North Glebe at 26th St the southbound lanes of Glebe Rd will be closed from Old Dominion Drive to N 26th St until approximately 7:00pm while the traffic incident is investigated. Expect significant delays."

An SUV heading south on N. Glebe Rd. hit a traffic pole a little after 4 p.m. this afternoon just before N. 25th St.. There were no other cars involved.

The driver was evaluated by paramedics but was not taken to the hospital. He said he was only going about 30-35 mph and must have dozed off and hit the pole.
Traffic heading south on N. Glebe was shut down from Old Dominion to 25th St. for clean-up.

The power company is on the scene to repair/replace the hit pole.
