Arlington—We know traffic and parking can be frustrating at the Arlington Costco on the weekends, but last Sunday six people were involved in a road rage incident near Arlington’s Costco sparked by someone’s desire to make a left turn.

Patch also reported that there might be major redevelopment plans in the works for Ballston Common Mall.

Alexandria—Police shot and killed a man who was wielding a gun following a domestic dispute in Alexandria’s south central neighborhood.

Despite the perception that more national chain retailers are moving into the Old Town area, small and independent businesses are doing quite well there, according to recently released statistics.

Falls Church—Sequestration is still just a threat (though the March 1 deadline is looming large), but sequestration has some local residents already cutting back on eating out and are delaying major purchases.

McLean—A foreclosure auction on one of the region’s most expensive foreclosures was canceled this week for unknown reasons. The Rodney Hunt was to be auctioned at the Arlington Courthouse Thursday morning.

Georgetown—The case of Albrecht Muth, accused of murdering his much older wife Viola Drath, is continuing, despite Muth’s rapidly deteriorating condition. Muth has been described as being in "imminent risk of sudden death" due to an ongoing fast.
