Date of inspection: Dec. 3
The outer openings of the food establishment are not protected against the entry of insects and rodents. Gap observed under front entrance and rear exit doors.

Cafe 59 II
2461 S. Clark St.
Date of inspection: Nov. 30
The hand-washing station at the drink station/cashier counter is being used as a dump station as well as a hand washing facility. Facility was left with a written procedure to use time as a public health control for some items of their buffet, like sushi and breakfast sandwiches.

Harar Mesob Ethiopian Restaurant
542 S. 23rd St.
Date of inspection: Nov. 30
Scrambled eggs and potato salad were being kept at the buffet bar at an improper hot holding temperature.

Date of inspection: Nov. 30
A sign or poster that notifies food employees to wash their hands is not provided at all hand-washing lavatories used by food employees and/or is not clearly visible to food employees. Hand sink at entrance to main kitchen and hand sink in employee toilet are in need of hand wash signs.

Mario's Pizza House

Date of inspection: Nov. 30
Ready-to-eat food is not protected from cross contamination by separating it from raw animal foods. Raw eggs in the prep refrigerator were found stored above open packages of lunch meat.

El Tutumaso

Date of inspection: Nov. 29
Prepared foods (pork, corn) held in the food establishment for more than 24 hours are not clearly marked to indicate the date or day by which the food shall be consumed on the premises, sold or discarded. The handicap toilet in the women's rest-room is not maintained good repair (not-flushing properly).

Pupuseria Dona Bessy
77 N. Glebe Road
Date of inspection: Nov. 29
After being cleaned, equipment food-contact surfaces and utensils are not sanitized using a proper solution. No written procedures exist for the use of time only as a public health control for a working supply of the chicken special. The chicken was made at 10 a.m. and discarded during inspection at 2 p.m. when the temperature was measured at 63 degrees. The establishment is extremely clean.

Asia Bistro

Dumplings and other foods prepared and held in the food establishment for more than 24 hours are not clearly marked to indicate the date or day by which the food shall be consumed on the premises, sold or discarded. The microwave in the sushi area is a home-grade microwave, is in poor repair, and is in need of cleaning.

An open beverage container and/or a closed beverage container not handled to prevent contamination of a food employee's hands, the container, exposed food, and/or clean equipment was observed.

The food establishment is not under the immediate control of a Northern Virginia certified food manager.

Super Pollo "Charcoal Chicken"
550-C N. Quincy St.
Date of inspection: Nov. 28
The hand washing sink located in the kitchen was blocked by two trash cans and is not maintained so that it is accessible at all times for employee use.

Date of inspection: Nov. 28
No violations were found during the inspection.
