Virginia Hospital Center Named One of Top 100 Hospitals

Truven Health Analytics gave the hospital the award.

Arlington’s own Virginia Hospital Center was named one of the top 100 hospitals in the country this week.

Truven Health Analytics, a healthcare analytics firm, chose the hospital based on faculty performance and quantitative research, according to a press release.

The study also named the hospital an Everest Award winner, which recognizes hospitals that have the highest one-year performance and the fastest long-term improvement over a period of five years.

Truven Health researchers evaluated 2,922 short-term, acute care, non-federal hospitals. The winning hospitals were announced in the February 25 edition of Modern Healthcare magazine.

Wow!! And to think as a kid back in the 1960's we picketed this hospital for its segregation policy... The Hospital has come a very long way! Good going Arlington Hospital, you made the residents proud! Keep up the great work!!!
