Canoe and Kayak Safety Checks at Gravelly Point

Taking your canoe or kayak out on the Potomac River this summer? Get a free vessel safety check by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for your canoe or kayak on August 10 at Gravelly Point Park in Arlington, VA. These checks go over all the required safety equipment you should have on the water, along with best practices to make every trip safe and enjoyable. If you pass the check, your canoe or kayak gets a decal that tells others on the water that you know your stuff! Stop by the white tent near the boat ramp at Gravelly Point Park from 11 am to 4 pm for your free vessel safety check, and the latest information on safe boating. Don't pass up this great opportunity to get a vessel safety check for your canoe or kayak this summer!
