Concert with Stu Fuchs, aka "Stukulele"

Maryland Ukulele Jam and the Episcopal Church of the Ascension are pleased to present a special concert by world-class entertainer and practicing contemplative, Stu Fuchs, aka "Stukule".

A gifted multi-instrumentalist of guitar, ukulele, and didjeridoo, Stu brings to Gaithersburg this special performance of his virtuosic, soulful, and diverse repertoire -- including jazz, blues, world, classical music, and original songs.  This is a not-to-be missed opportunity to enjoy an artist whom Grammy winner Cathy Fink  characterizes as "a tour de force on the ukulele with taste and a heavy finger on the talent button".

Stu will be a featured artist and teacher at the Uke and Guitar Summit 2014 in August presented by the Strathmore.  He will be joined at the end of the concert by members of the Maryland Ukulele Jam to play a few rockabilly classics.

The concert will be held Sunday April 13, 4 - 5 p.m., in the main church.  Tickets are $10 at the door, with partial proceeds going to support the outreach ministries of Ascension.

The Maryland Ukulele Jam is in residence at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension every 3rd Sunday of the month, 2 - 4 p.m.  Players at all levels are invited to come join in the music making and merriment.  For more information about the concert or monthly jams, contact mdukejam@gmail.com.
