Mad Hatter Open Mic

Writers, performers,
artists, and lovers of all things creative you are invited to the first
ever, Open Talent Night at House of Steep on Thursday, October 3rd,
2013. We hope to continue this one throughout the year (1st Thursdays),
so please come out and show your support! So let the words stumble
deliriously, the sounds howl deeply in the soul with inspiration, and
let us remember that the tea rationing has ended. Come fill up your cup,
your soul, and dwell in good company.


OPEN TALENT: Following the featured Artists there is about 1.5 hours of
open talent, ending about 8:00 pm. Each performer has five minutes to
present their work of poetry, spoken word, music, or soulful talent.

THE THEME (if you really like themes): Mad Hatter's Mad Tea-Party

In Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the mad hatter tea
part is characterized by riddles and randomness. In our event we will
pay homage to the madness by selecting names of performers by random.
Artists are welcome to explore their original works in subjects in line
with season (Autumn/Fall, Halloween, Ravens, Pumpkins, etc). However,
anyone is certainly welcome to channel the inner hatter and share in all
things random and or riddling. Things that start with the letters R are
also acceptable.

BUT ANY AND ALL TALENT IS WELCOME THEME OF NO THEME!
