THE NIGHTHAWKS! return to K Street @Gypsy Sally's!

DC's newest live music venue, GYPSY SALLY's, hosts the return of THE NIGHTHAWKS, "the band that built the Bayou"

For locals of a certain age, just saying "The Nighthawks return to K Street" is enough said. For the rest of you, let's just say this is the band that "built the Bayou", DC's legendary rock venue, headlining New Year's Eve in Georgetown for a decade.  They led the nationalization of genre-busting roots music -- it's rock, it's blues, it's alt, it's THE NIGHTHAWKS.

The opening band is worth getting out of the house early for. Twenty-two year-old phenom Colin Thompson, son of acclaimed Americana music artist Randy Thompson, is ranked #21 on The Alternate Root's list of top roots music guitar players.  Often compared by the press to other great slide guitar players (Duane Allman, Derek Trucks, Lowell George),  Colin at age 14 and again at age 15 won the Mid-Atlantic States Guitar Center's King Of The Blues competition.

Gypsy Sally's, DC newest live music venue, has state-of-the-art sound, NO OBSTRUCTED VIEWS, full concert dining, and a sweet wood dance floor.

Under the Whitehurst Freeway, in a mellow, easy-to-park corner Georgetown.
