Arlington Farmers' Markets: High Season Starts Now

Arlington is home to several farmers' markets, including several here in Clarendon, Courthouse and Rosslyn.

Arlington is home to a number of fantastic Farmers’ Markets.

Now that it’s spring ("high season" for many farmers) and more people have fresh fruit and veggies on the brain, here’s where to go.

The Arlington Farmers’ Market is next to the Arlington County Courthouse Parking Lot, at the intersection of N. Courthouse Road and N. 14th Street. It’s open 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays from April through December. (It was open 9 a.m. to noon from January through March.)

Ballston Farmers’ Market is at Welburn Square (also known as The Ballston Circle), just southwest of the Ballston-Virginia Square Metro station. It opened May 2 and continues through Oct. 31 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Thursday.

Clarendon Farmers’ Market is at Wilson Boulevard and N. Highland Street in Clarendon Central Park. It is open from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. every Wednesday.

Columbia Pike Farmers’ Market is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Sunday in Pike Park at the corner of Columbia Pike and S. Walter Reed Drive.

Crystal City Farmer’s Market has relocated for the 2013 season. It will be across the street from the Crystal City Metro station on the plaza between 241 and 251 S. 18th Street. It is open from 3 – 7 p.m. every Tuesday through Nov. 19.

Rosslyn Farmer’s Market starts May 23. It will be located at 1401 Wilson Blvd. and run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Thursday.

Westover Farmers’ Market is at the corner of Washington Boulevard and N. McKinley Road. The market is open 8 a.m. to noon every Sunday.
