Janet Johnson Hooper passed away April 13. She is survived by her son, Michael Hooper of McLean and her daughter, Jennifer Hooper of Portland, Ore., and two grandchildren.

Dorothy Heiss Artley passed away April 20. Besides being a loving mother and homemaker, she volunteered for St. Agnes School and Church in Arlington.

Lucy Bransford Nicolas passed away April 17. She taught home economics at Yorktown High School for 20 years.

James Allen Campbell passed away April 20. He moved to Arlington in 1980, where he began a very successful career in engineering that spanned 30 years.

Joseph Wilbourne Creekmore passed away on April 19. He was a contract specialist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture until his retirement, when he worked as a Realtor for Better Homes Realty.

George M. Dooley passed away on April 19. He retired from the Arlington County Police Department after 27 years of service.
