R.E.S.T. Stop East Launches Spirit Night Fundraiser at California Tortilla Crystal City

July 7, 2014-California Tortilla Crystal City successfully hosted a Spirit Night fundraiser for R.E.S.T Stop East with resounding success on June 25, 4 pm – 8 pm.  R.E.S.T., an acronym forRestoring Essential Servants Together, is a safe haven dedicated to holistic wellness for First Responders.  

The widely promoted event garnered substantial support from the surrounding community. Patrons enjoyed live music courtesy of Jimmy Lee, California Tortilla’s resident musician,throughout the evening.  

R.E.S.T. Stop East is a secure sanctuary where First Responders may find respite; and experience renewal in non-contact spaceand much more.  It is a sincere, tangible expression of appreciation and gratitude for the women and men who are routinely exposed to dangers while protecting and serving us.

First Responders (police, fire/rescue, EMS, federal agents, and civilian employees of these agencies) in jurisdictions proximate to Arlington County, VA., are invited to stop by and refresh.  In addition to solace, on-site amenities will include coffee, water, grab and go food, Wi-Fi, and restrooms.  

Housed in Mount Vernon Baptist Church, R.E.S.T Stop East is open to creating beneficial partnerships with businesses in the local community.  Interested parties are encouraged to visithttp://www.mtvernonbc.org.  California Tortilla Crystal City is honored to be a local partner for this worthy cause.
