Arlington Police to Issue Kids 7-Eleven Slurpee Tickets for Good Deeds

Operation Chill launched in 1995.

The Arlington County Police Department is targeting young people for tickets — for good behavior.

Through Operation Chill, as it is called, police officers of all stripes will be issuing tickets children caught doing good deeds that can be redeemed for a free small Slurpee at 7-Elevens across Arlington.

“We look forward to participating in Operation Chill each year, as these coupons provide an excellent tool for our officers to encourage responsible behavior within our community,” Police Chief Doug Scott said in a statement.
