Crime Report: Man Strikes Barkeep with Bottle of Amaretto

The following information was supplied by the Arlington County Police Department. Where an arrest is mentioned, it do not indicate a conviction.

Crime reports from Nov. 1 through Nov. 7.

Malicious Wounding
A 30-year-old intoxicated man swung a bottle of Amaretto at the manager of an Arlington bar, police said.
 
Police said the manager had a cut to her leg and was taken to Virginia Hospital Center for minor injuries.
 
The incident occurred at 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 31, Halloween night, on the 600 block of N. Glebe Road. Police said that the man, Jorge Zunagua, of Alexandria, was found behind the bar and attacked the manager when confronted.
 
Zunagua was charged with malicious wounding. He was held without bond.

In separate, unrelated incidents:

Malicious Wounding
A person was struck in the head with a plate and sustained a cut to the ear during a fight at a Ballston bar.
 
Police said the incident happened at 11:25 p.m. on Nov. 4 at the bar on the 4200 block of N. Wilson Blvd. Police said the victim was taken to Virginia Hospital Center.
 
Mario Lewis, 53, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding. He was held without bond.
 
Robbery
Two juveniles were charged with assaulting a pharmacy employee and stealing cigarettes.
 
The incident occurred at 2:15 p.m. on Nov. 4 on the 4200 block of N. Wilson Blvd., according to the Arlington County Police Department. Both suspects tried to run away but they were detained by employees.
 
Police charged them with robbery. Names of juveniles implicated in minor crimes are not released by the department.
 
Burglary
Computer equipment was stolen from an office suite sometime between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 1 on the 200 block of S. Clark St.
 
Burglary
A television and other electronics were taken from a home sometime between 3 a.m. and 8:55 a.m. on Nov. 2. The residence is on the 1900 block of N. 13th St.
 
Burglary
Sometime between 8 a.m. on Sept. 21 and 1:15 a.m. on Oct. 24, someone entered a home on the 4200 block of Columbia Pike. The person or person entered the vacant home through an open window. It is unknown if anything was stolen.
