Crime Report: March 17 to March 23

The Arlington County crime report for this week: 

"ROBBERY 03/23/11, 2300 block of N. 11th Street. On March 23 at 3 am, a cab driver drove three unknown men into Arlington from Washington D.C. When he attempted to make change for the fare, one suspect took all of the cab driver’s money. The suspects then fled. They are described as white Hispanic males in their 20’s.

ATTEMPT MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST 03/16/11, the Unit block of N. Thomas Street. On March 16 at 1:50 pm, a woman threatened the father of her child with a knife. She then damaged his vehicle with the knife. Jessica Owens, 24, of Arlington, was charged with Attempted Malicious Wounding. She was held without bond.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST 03/16/11, 4400 block of Wilson Boulevard. On March 16 at 10:30 pm, an intoxicated woman assaulted another female. Sonya Raftari, 20, of Springfield, was charged with Assault and Battery and Possession of Alcohol by a Minor. She was held on a $2,000 bond.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST 03/17/11, 2100 block of Lee Highway. On March 17 at 7:45 pm, one man assaulted another after a road rage incident. Jamal Redman, 21, of Waldorf, MD, was charged with Assault and Battery. He was released on a summons.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST 03/18/11, 1200 block of N. Veitch Street. On March 18 at 12:30 am, two residents of an apartment building assaulted the building security guard. Erik Robertson, 21, and Arthur Goundar, 23, both of Arlington, were charged with Assault and Battery. They were each held on a $1,250 bond.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST 03/19/11, 3200 block of Lee Highway. On March 19 at 3:40 pm, a manager of a car lot stated that he was assaulted by a repossession agent. Charles George, 27, of Laurel, MD, was charged with Assault and Battery and released on a summons.

BURGLARY 03/17/11, 100 block of S. Garfield Street. On March 17 at 11 am, a homeowner was in the backyard when an unknown man walked in his house and stole his wallet. The suspect fled when confronted. He was an African American male wearing a long sleeve gray shirt.

BURGLARY 03/18/11, 1500 block of N. Utah Street. On March 18 between 9 am and 4 pm, an unknown person broke into a residence and searched rooms without stealing anything noticeable. There are no known suspects.

BURGLARY 03/21/11, 5000 block of S. 23rd Street. Between 5 pm on March 17, and 8:30 am on March 18, an unknown person broke into a residence under construction and stole tools. There are no known suspects.

BURGLARY 03/22/11, 2100 block of Jefferson Davis Highway. Between 11:30 am on March 18, and 7:30 pm on March 21, an unknown person broke into an apartment and stole various items. There are no known suspects.

ATTEMPT BURGLARY 03/19/11, 1200 block of S. Columbus Street. Between midnight on March 5, and 4 pm on March 18, an unknown subject attempted to forcibly gain entry to a residence without success. There is no suspect description.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 03/19/11, 4000 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive. Between 5:30 pm on March 18, and 10 am on March 19, an unknown subject broke into an automotive shop and stole numerous items. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 03/16/11, 1300 block of N. Stafford Street. On March 16 between 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm, an unknown person broke into two vehicles in the same parking garage. Though the cars were rifled through, no items were stolen. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 03/17/11, 4700 block of Chesterfield Road. On March 17 between 7:45 pm and 8:10 pm, an unknown person broke into two vehicles in the same parking lot and stole various items. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 03/18/11, 3500 block of N. 3rd Road and the 200 block of N. Irving Street. Between 9 pm on March 17 and 6:30 am on March 18, an unknown subject entered at least nine unlocked vehicles and rifled through each. There are no known suspects.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 03/18/11, 4400 blocks of N. 16th and N. 17th Streets. Between 6:30 pm on March 17, and 9 am on March 18, an unknown person entered at least four unlocked vehicles in the same area. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 03/20/11, 1700 block of N. Glebe Road. On March 20 between 3:30 am and 4:30 am, an unknown person broke into at least two vehicles in the same parking lot. Various items were stolen. There are no known suspects.
