A two-alarm fire destroyed a North Arlington home on Tuesday, and at least two people were hospitalized, according to fire officials.

Investigators believe three people were inside the home. Neighbors said two people jumped from a second story window to escape and were taken to Washington Hospital Center for burn and respiratory injuries before the Fire Department arrived, Karl said.

Firefighters rescued the third person, a young woman, from the basement. She was evaluated at the scene and was not taken to a hospital.
