PNC Bank Robbed at Arlington Shopping Center Friday

The FBI is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to arrest and conviction of bank robber.

Authorities are investigating the robbery of a bank in South Arlington on Friday morning, according to a news release from the FBI.

The PNC Bank inside the Giant Food Store at 2901 S. Glebe Road in Arlington's Arlington Ridge Shopping Center was robbed at approximately 10:20 a.m. Friday.

The subject approached the teller and verbally demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the subject exited the front of the store.

The suspect is described as a tall black male, height about 6-feet, 2 inches, and age estimated between 20s and 30s, according to the news release.

The subject was described as a black male with a full beard and mustache and shoulder-length dread locks. He was described as wearing a black and brown suit, black shoes, sunglasses and a black bag across his body.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of the bank robber.

The FBI's Washington Field Office and the Arlington County Police Department are investigating this bank robbery and request that anyone with information call the FBI at (202) 278-2000 or report information anonymously to Arlington County Crime Solvers at (866) 411-TIPS (8477).
