Police: 18-Year-Old Wakes to Find Strange Man in Kitchen

The investigation remains ongoing.

An 18-year-old Arlington woman awoke this weekend to find a strange man in her kitchen, according to information the police released Monday.

Investigators believe the man entered the residence, in the 6100 block of North Wilson Boulevard, through a window.

The woman awoke at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday when she heard the individual and went to investigate, police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck told Patch.

They were looking for a man in his 20s with brown eyes and short black hair. He was wearing khaki pants, a green shirt and a black-and-pink hat at the time of the incident.

The young woman lives with a parent, who was home at the time, Sternbeck said.

No one was injured. No items were reported missing at the time.

The incident took place not far from the county line, past Patrick Henry Drive in a neighborhood not far from the Seven Corners area of Fairfax County.
