Police Break Up Party, Issue Summonses to 43 Teens

Dozens of teenagers at a house party got summonses for underage drinking and other incidents Saturday night in northwest Arlington.

Police issued summonses to 43 teenagers for underage drinking after an unsupervised high school party in northwest Arlington got out of control, according to the Arlington County Police Department.

A 17-year-old girl reportedly threw a party at her home while her parents were out of town Saturday night, according to police.

Police told NBC Washington they responded to a noise complaint around 9:30 p.m Saturday in the 3500 Block of North Nottingham Street and found dozens of teenagers — many had been drinking and were running away or being uncooperative with police.

Parents were called to pick up the 43 teenagers who were issued summonses.

"There were a lot of unhappy parents," police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck told NBC Washington.
