Police Charge Hospital Employee with Rape of Patient

The Arlington County Police Department’s Special Victims Unit has taken into custody and charged Roy Anthony Jones, 30, of Washington, D.C. with rape. Jones was denied bond and is currently being held in the Arlington County Detention Facility.

Jones, employed as a CT Scan Technician at Virginia Hospital Center, raped a 37 year-old female victim in the early morning hours of Jan. 13. 

The victim was at the hospital as a patient when the incident occurred and reported the crime to police following the attack.

Virginia Hospital Center staff cooperated with detectives throughout the investigation.
