No real property was destroyed, according to police.

Arlington police charged a Falls Church man with arson this week after he allegedly lit a Realtor sign on fire in the middle of the night.

At about 2:41 a.m. Monday, an intoxicated man set the sign on fire in a median in the 6900 block of Williamsburg Boulevard in Arlington's East Falls Church community, according to information police released later in the week.

Neil Blaney, 29, of Falls Church, was arrested and charged with arson and drunk in public, according to police.

A small patch of grass also burned, but aside from that and the sign, no real property was damaged, Arlington police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck told Patch.
