Police: Drunk Driver Goes Wrong Way on Wilson Boulevard, Strikes Man

Arlington man charged with DUI.

Arlington police say a drunk driver sped the wrong way down Wilson Boulevard on Sunday night and hit multiple cars and a pedestrian, sending that man to the hospital.

Police began receiving numerous calls shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday about a vehicle traveling at a "high rate of speed" in the wrong direction in the 3100 block of North Wilson Boulevard in Clarendon.

Within minutes, the 2010 Mercedes Benz hit four parked cars and a 33-year-old Washington man. The victim, whom police would not identify, was taken to George Washington University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
