Police: Man Robbed at Knifepoint in Dominion Hills-Boulevard Manor Area

Attack occurred shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday.

A young man on his way to visit a friend was robbed at knifepoint at about 12:44 a.m. Thursday in the Dominion Hills-Boulevard Manor area of Arlington County.

The armed robbery occurred in the 6000 block of Wilson Boulevard, according to police.

The man had parked his car nearby on Wilson and was walking along the sidewalk toward his friend's apartment, police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck.

He was approached by three men with black shirts covering their face who drew knives and demanded everything he had, Sternbeck said.

"They said that to him at knifepoint," he said. "All there subjects wielded knives at this victim. So the victim complied."

The bandits took the man's iPhone 5 but apparently weren't interested in the contents of his wallet, Sternbeck said.

The victim was not injured.

Another early morning robbery occurred about a block away earlier this week, when an individual struck a woman in the head and stole her backpack near Bon Air and Bluemont parks.
