Police: Peeping Tom Strikes Dressing Room on South Glebe Road

Incident reported at store near Arlington Boulevard intersection.

Police are looking for a peeping Tom who reportedly tried to film a woman while she was trying on clothes in a store in the unit block of South Glebe Road, near the Arlington Boulevard intersection.

A 24-year-old woman told authorities that a man tried to film her with his camera while she was in the store's dressing room shortly before 1:30 p.m. Thursday, according to information police released Monday.

The dressing room stalls left a gap between the wall and the floor, police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck told Patch.

"He had his camera phone out, and he placed it underneath the stall," Sternbeck said. "She witnessed it. He noticed that she saw it, and he runs away."

The man was said to be in his 30s, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 190 pounds with a goatee. He was wearing a dark and light blue sweater, jeans and brown shoes at the time.
