Police are seeking the public's assistance in tracking down a suspect who exposed himself near Stoddert Elementary School and allegedly claimed to be a pedophile. The incident was first reported on the community listserv in September and the man was seen most recently Nov. 14.
According to police in September a Glover Park woman was walking from her home to Stoddert Elementary when a man exposed himself to her and began following her.

A new police flyer about the incident describes the suspect as a medium build white male, aged 50 or 60 years, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8 with gray or white hair and light eyes. According to police the suspect has been seen frequently at the bus stop at 39th and Calvert Streets, NW around 6 a.m.
A Glover Park community member advised neighbors on the list serv that the suspect was most recently seen Nov. 14 again around 3 p.m. in the area of 40th St. and Benton St.
A friend of the complainant posted the follow description on the neighborhood list serv Sept. 13:
"Around 3:05pm, a friend left her apartment building and saw a man standing near 2339 40th Pl NW with his pants completely down. She crossed to the other side of the street and then onto Calvert St. near the school. The man then moved to the corner of 40th Pl and Calvert St. NW and facing in the direction of the school did the same thing again. At the same time, another parent approached the man and told him to leave immediately and that they were going to call the police. The man then told her, "I am mentally ill and take medication for this problem. I am a pedophile and a registered sex offender."
