Police: Woman, 23, Charged with Assault on Officer in Clarendon

The incident took place early Saturday morning in Clarendon.

A 23-year-old woman was charged with assault on a police officer and being drunk in public Saturday, according to Arlington police. 

At 1:45 a.m., authorities report that on the 3100 block of N. Wilson Boulevard in Clarendon, an intoxicated man hit a glass door after being told he could not enter a bar. 

Security staff were able to push the man to the ground. A police officer intervened and attempted to move the crowd back, authorities said. An intoxicated woman intervened pushed the officer, according to police.

Sarah Ashley Offenbacher, of Greenbelt, Maryland was arrested and charged with assault on a police officer and being drunk in public. She was held on no bond.
